Privacy & Terms

What we collect
The Schengen calculator is fully client-side. Your trip data is stored in your own browser's localStorage and is never sent to any server. If you click “Share”, your trips are encoded directly into a URL that you choose to copy and share. We don't see it.
Analytics
We use privacy-respecting analytics (no cookies, no personal data) on all pages. This tells us aggregate traffic patterns (popular pages, referring sites) but never identifies you.
Advertising on rules & visa pages
The country and nationality information pages (under /rules/* and /visa/*) show a small number of display ads from Google AdSense. AdSense may set cookies to personalize ads. The calculator itself (the home page and any shared trip page) shows no ads and sets no advertising cookies.
If you prefer non-personalized ads, you can manage your preferences via the consent banner shown on ad-supported pages, or via your browser's ad settings.
Your data rights
Because we don't store your data, there is nothing for us to export, delete, or correct. To remove your locally-saved trip data, use your browser's “Clear site data” option for schengen.sewlio.com, or use the “Clear trips” action in the calculator.
Terms of use
This service is provided free of charge, as-is, with no warranty of accuracy. The Schengen 90/180 rule has serious legal consequences (refused entry, fines, multi-year bans). You are solely responsible for verifying your actual travel record against official sources (your passport stamps, EES records, consular advice) before relying on any output from this tool.
We are not lawyers, not immigration advisors, and not affiliated with any government agency. Don't use this tool as the only source for travel decisions.
